For this project, our client chose a weathered, knotty wood pattern—just one of the many decorative options Dec-Tec offers. Available in 60 mil and 80 mil thicknesses with 10- or 20-year warranties, this membrane is designed for both performance and visual appeal.

This structure had two sections. One area was meant for foot traffic and received the full Dec-Tec treatment. The second area wasn’t intended for walking, so we saved the client money by installing a smooth torch-down membrane for waterproofing.

Important Note: Installing Dec-Tec is not a DIY job. The surface must be properly prepped, leveled with sandable filler, and all seams expertly sealed. Because it’s a fully adhered (glued-down) membrane, any mistakes can lead to wrinkles or air pockets. Precision is key.
